Moorngag Cemetery History and Walk
The Moorngag Cemetery has been in operating since 1884 and is the last resting place for an extraordinary group of people.
Visitors will be treated to a detailed history of the district and how the Cemetery Trust came into existence. There will also be a presentation on an unmarked graves project that the Tatong Heritage Group, the Benalla Family Research Group and the Cemetery Trust undertook in 2017 as part of the Centenary of ANZAC to check for unmarked graves of returned service men and women, The stories that unfolded from this project are extraordinary.
