Philip Martins
Interim Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Philip is the current Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria). Philip joined the organisation in July 2021 as the CFO and has been Interim CEO since February 2024.
Philip is a qualified Certified Practising Accountant and member of CPA Australia. He has Bachelor in Business (Accounting) from La Trobe University and Sports Science (Exercise Science) from Victoria University.
Philip is a professional executive with almost 30 years of diverse experience across numerous industries. Previous roles include CFO of Brad Teal Real Estate, CFO Bambora, Asia Pacific, Head of Finance at Marsh Ireland and has held several senior finance and business operational roles at National Australia Bank.
As the Interim CEO and CFO, Philip is tasked with leading and stewarding the financial health of our heritage organisation. Philip recognises the dual imperative of preserving our cultural legacy for current and future generation to enjoy, while ensuring its commercial viability. In embracing this challenge, he advocates for a strategic alignment that harmonises our commitment to heritage preservation with a pragmatic focus on ensuring financial stability, so that the NTAV can continue to sustainably fund conservation activities across its portfolio of properties.
Philip is one of the founding board directors and Chief Financial Officer (Pro Bono) of the Live for Lily Foundation, a successful Melbourne based registered charity, whose mission is to raise funds for the prevention and cure of childhood cancer.
